Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mark David Milliron (http://markmilliron.com/)

Dr. Mark David Milliron is an award-winning leader, author, speaker, and consultant, who works with universities, community colleges, K-12 schools, foundations, corporations, associations, and government agencies across the country and around the world. He is Co-Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Civitas Learning.  Mark also serves as Executive Director of the Next-Gen Leadership Academy, a program dedicated to grounding rising educational leaders in the issues and innovations of the day, and the leadership skills necessary to help institutions thrive in dynamic times.

In previous roles, Mark served as the Deputy Director for Postsecondary Improvement with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; founding Chancellor of WGU Texas; Endowed Fellow and Director of the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development at The University of Texas at Austin; Vice President for Education and Medical Practice with SAS; and President and CEO of the League for Innovation in the Community College.

Thursday, August 3:  Kentucky Derby Museum.  Private dinner/tour of the Kentucky Derby Museum, including the new American Pharoah exhibit in honor of racing’s 12th Triple Crown winner.

  • Blue Reporting:  Topics about creating reports in Blue include advanced features in Blue reporting, creating trend reports, and examples of how to report Blue Text Analytics (BTA) results;
  • Creating a culture of assessment: Hear how your colleagues worked to get faculty ‘buy in’ to the online course evaluation process, learn best practices for increasing response rates, and understand how to make use of the engagement features in Blue (such as the reliability assessment, the opt-in/opt-out options for faculty including setting their own evaluation dates, and the ability for faculty to monitor response rates); and
  • …many other informative sessions!
