Part Time Student Evaluation of Teaching Coordinator

The coordinator works closely with the office’s Assistant Provost, Research Analyst, the Office of Information Technology, the Registrar’s office and others to ensure that American University’s teaching evaluation process is accurate, fair and user friendly. The coordinator will help expand and improve the university’s teaching evaluation reporting so that the results are accessible to faculty and so that they provide meaningful feedback for use in evaluations and course improvement.

  • The position requires excellent communication and listening skills, especially the ability to work with faculty, department chairs, deans and other senior administrators.
  • Travel: May have one or two short trips for Explorance Blue training or workshops.

Learning Systems Administrator

The Learning Systems Platform Administrator (SES (Subject Experience Survey)) has strong technical ability and experience with the Explorance Blue application and provides day to day operational support for the core SES platform at the University of Melbourne. The incumbent is expected to work with staff and students across the University and externally, to support the central SES application Explorance Blue and undertake SES support activities such as the virtual and physical SES campaign, administrative system support, troubleshooting and answering SES queries from staff and SES Faculty and School representatives.

  • Experience in administering and supporting the Explorance Blue application and managing the reporting function and distributing reports of the Subject Experience Survey in the Explorance Blue application as well as the SES Concierge System.
  • Demonstrated experience with coordinating the Subject Experience Survey at the faculty level.
  • Experience in liaising and managing expectations of a diverse group of stakeholders across the University.

Student Learning Experience Feedback System Administrator

The Student Learning Experience Feedback System Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting student learning experience software systems which are used to support schools, departments, and colleges in the collection of student feedback related to teaching and learning.

  • The primary goal of this position is to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of surveys and reports to and with users of the system who include students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Secondarily, the position will support the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning (GMCTL) internal IT and digital communication requests.
  • Candidates should have a basic understanding of HTML with the ability to interpret/construct basic web pages and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data through sorting/filtering and constructing/utilizing functions and formulas in Excel. Past experience with survey tools (e.g. Blue, SurveyMonkey) and project mgmt and communication tools (e.g. Trello, Slack, Jira) would be an asset. The required technical training for working within Blue by Explorance will be provided.

Evaluation Manager

The Evaluation Manager will be the primary administrator of online evaluations using Blue. This position will work closely with faculty and staff in the Schools and Colleges, KU IT, and the Center for Faculty Development and Mentoring in the Provost’s Office to ensure optimal use of the Blue software.

  • Primary duties will consist of the collection, management, and reporting of evaluative results to a diverse stakeholder group. Developing expertise in the potential of expanding Blue’s functionality and translating that into strategies to enhance the evaluation process for faculty and students is essential for this position.
  • Additional functions will include developing communications and materials to promote online evaluations, leading effort to integrate Blue with the student information system, PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, pay strict attention to detail, and actively engage, listen, and translate information between faculty and administration will be key to the success of this position and the initiatives it supports.

Assessment & Evaluation Analyst – Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine

This position, under the supervision of the Senior Director of Assessment & Evaluation, will be working as a part of an extremely dynamic team of professionals supporting all aspects of the School of Medicine and the creation of the infrastructure, process, and procedures for the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine.

  • Primary activities consist of the collection, management, and reporting of evaluative results to a diverse stakeholder group (e.g., students, staff, faculty, clinicians, and administrators).
  • Alongside with members of the A&E unit, contribute to the development of a system of learning analytics for the medical degree (MD) program.
  • Experience in evaluation and survey platforms (e.g., MedOasis, E*Value, MedHub, Explorance Blue, etc.). Experience with statistical, qualitative analysis, and data visualization software packages (e.g., Alteryx, Dedoose, NVivo, SPSS, Tableau, etc.).

Business Systems Analyst

The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) is seeking an energetic, innovative and collaborative business systems analyst to join the enrollment technologies team.

  • Serve as one of the primary functional resources in the University’s use of the Explorance product Blue for course evaluations; working with faculty and staff in the schools and colleges, Registrar’s Office, Information and Technology Services, and the Provost’s Office to ensure optimal use of the software.
  • May also lead and participate in cloud product implementations and system maintenance for all offices across OEM; including project management, vendor selection, system setup and configuration, process improvement, system test, documentation and training, integration with other university systems, ongoing system maintenance, customer support, and troubleshooting.

  • The primary function of this position is to provide research and analytical support for College of the North Atlantic’s “Alternate Admissions Academic Readiness Assessment Processes and Tools for Indigenous Peoples” project funded through the NL Work Innovation Centre (WIC).

Manager, Academic Records and Faculty Services

  • As the key resource in the Registrar’s Office, this position is in charge of providing academic records services to students, faculty, and staff, including the management of customer support services, academic record maintenance, and the administration of the university’s online Student Teaching Effectiveness Survey system, including the following Teaching Effectiveness Survey Administration
  1. Administer and support the semester Student Teaching Effectiveness Survey in Blue, work closely with the schools and college on the preparation of the courses to be surveyed, build the semester survey in the Blue system, and setup and distribute teaching effectiveness survey results to the faculty, school deans, and the provost’s office.
  2. Collaborate with ITS and eXplorance (survey vendor) as needed to ensure a smooth and successful teaching effective survey experience for students and faculty, including troubleshooting and resolving of issues.

  4. Keep up-to-date on changes and enhancements to Blue, recommend enhancements as appropriate, and work closely with ITS and eXplorance to test enhancements and upgrades
  5. Work with the Associate University Registrar and University Registrar to present new functionality to the Provost’s Office to ensure buy-in and understanding prior to implementation

Enterprise Endpoint Manager

  • This position exercises broadly defined discretion and independent judgment to create, provide, and advance information systems and services affecting many levels and areas of the university. This position serves as overall Technical Project Manager for WSU’s course evaluation system, eXplorance Blue. Functional Analyst, Office of Provost

  • Academic Affairs is seeking to hire a Functional Analyst to support the faculty electronic CV (eCV) [PeopleSoft] and student course evaluation [Explorance Blue] applications. The Functional Analyst will work with HR, IT, faculty, and staff in the Office of the Provost to improve the functionality of the eCV so it consistently meets the needs of faculty and academic administrators.
  • In addition, the Functional Analyst is responsible for setting up the student course surveys at the beginning of each term and working with IT and/or the vendor to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that require escalation.


Educational Technologies Support Assistant

  • Provide support to CPI and to the university’s teaching staff with respect to the Learning Management System (LMS), the online Blue course evaluation system, and other related educational technology tools, and more.
